Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) customers can choose green power. This electricity is made using cleaner, renewable energy from wind and water sources. Sterling Planet has teamed with LIPA through its Green Choice voluntary program to offer Sterling NY Choice™. Priced at 1.5¢ per kWh - or as little as 13¢ more per day for the average LIPA household - our blend is a 50-50 blend of wind and small hydro.

You can offset 100% or 50% of your regular electricity use with green power. Selecting the 50% option lowers your green premium by half. You stay with LIPA, and your upgrade to green power shows on your electric bill as an additional fee.
 
And you can be sure you're making a difference. The New York State Public Service Commission ensures that you'll get what you're paying for - renewable energy from New York generators.
