Purchase Business RECs

Sterling Wind™ is 100% Green-e® Energy certified renewable energy certificates from new wind generation projects across the nation.

By enrolling in Sterling Wind™,  you will be billed separately by Sterling Planet. Charges are in addition to your existing electricity bill, and you will remain a customer of your utility, which will continue providing electricity, customer service and emergency response to your home.

Your purchase of renewable energy certificates (RECs) is supporting electricity production, nationwide. For every unit of renewable electricity generated, an equivalent amount of RECs is produced. The purchase of RECs helps offset conventional electricity generation in the region where the renewable electricity generator is located. The purchase also helps build a market for renewable electricity and may have other local and global environmental benefits such as reducing global climate change and regional air pollution.

Sterling Wind™ is a Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) product and does not contain electricity. A REC represents the environmental benefits of 1 megawatt hour (MWh) of renewable energy that can be paired with electricity. For more information on RECs, please visit www.green-e.org or click here.
